I’m a product designer with over 15 years of experience turning complex challenges into clear, human-centered solutions. As Head of Design at Refugio, I craft AI agent identities and personas that fit naturally into enterprise ecosystems—pairing intuitive workflows with thoughtful interaction mechanics to make experiences engaging, functional, and human. I’ve partnered with global enterprises like GE Healthcare, Aramark, and Imperfect Foods, as well as collaborating with local businesses, artists, and grassroots organizations, helping to craft brand stories that amplify their voices through thoughtful, scalable design.

I got my start in the Bay Area, honing my craft in design, storytelling, and visual communication at the Academy of Art University and later spent five formative years at the California Academy of Sciences, a beloved SF institution, where I helped launch its new brand identity. During my time at the Academy, I began moving beyond graphic design into the more holistic practice of experience design--considering not just visuals, but the entire journey of interaction. This perspective led me to collaborate with award-winning brand agencies where I extended brand storytelling across identity, product, and interactive design. That path ultimately brought me to GE Healthcare, where I spearheaded the company’s first design system, taking it from proposal to implementation and setting the standard for cohesive product design at scale.

Since then, I’ve continued to focus on the intersection of brand and product. I’ve established brand guidelines for companies like Imperfect Foods, developed both internal and customer-facing AI agents across Aramark’s various business lines, and helped evolve the experience design of Off the Grid—a Bay Area food event and mobile market platform known for fostering community and shared culinary experiences.

Beyond design, I explore creativity through my passion for plants, herbal medicine, natural fragrance design, metalsmithing, lapidary work, and travel. My years working alongside Indigenous-led communities in the Amazon especially continue to remind me of the importance of adaptability, reciprocity, and respect—values that shape how I approach design and problem-solving today.
